Kakebo, the household accounting book, is a Japanese method for learning how to save money. This undated edition allows you to start from any month of the year and is available in Italian. It has dimensions of 15.24 x 22.86 cm, approximately A5 size. Users of ring binders like Filofax, Kikki K, or Malden can also choose to separate the pages, turn them into refills, punch holes in them, and insert them as a section of their planner. The minimal print in grayscale on white paper allows for customization with coloring or washi tapes. Japanese proponents argue that despite smartphones and other technological tools being readily available, writing on paper is the method that makes us most aware of how we spend our money.

At the beginning of the month, we write down our certain incomes and fixed expenses to determine how much we have available to spend for the month. Each day, we record every purchase, categorized into larger groups. At the end of the month, we check if we have stayed within our budget.
